It's wonderful that there are aid groups active there, but it's so wrong that they should (seemingly) be the only ones trying to help. Also, I was surprised to read in the article that they plan to dispose of the waste (at least what isn't in the soil, water, people) by taking it to an incinerator, if they ever get around to moving it. Does not seem like the best means of disposal to me (though I am admittedly uneducated in methods of toxic waste disposal).
